Geoffrey Jacobson is an experienced transactional lawyer and litigator. He concentrates on residential and commercial real estate transactions, estate planning, and business and commercial transactions and litigation. Geoffrey is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Prior to opening Jacobson Law LLC, Geoffrey was a Partner at Sandelands Eyet LLP, where he handled a variety of transactional and litigation matters involving residential and commercial property. At Sandelands Eyet, Geoffrey concentrated on residential and commercial real estate closings, title litigation and a wide variety of real property litigation.
Earlier in his career, Geoffrey handled residential real estate closings and litigation, which included various title and property disputes, lien priority disputes, fraud, breach of contract, foreclosures, bankruptcy and professional malpractice claims. Geoffrey also has experience providing litigation services to commercial insurers and reinsurers for property claim resolution and insurance defense.
Geoffrey graduated from Villanova Law School, where he was President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and a legal intern for the Honorable John T. Kelly of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Prior to attending law school, Geoffrey graduated from Vassar College and worked for one of the top talent agencies in the country, where he assisted in the representation of musical talent.
Geoffrey has been a faculty member for the National Business Institute presenting several Continuing Legal Education classes. Most notably: "Handling Real Estate Transactions From Start to Finish" and “Real Estate Transactions & Closings”.
